GIA GOES ONLINE FOR 2020

Dear Colleagues,

We hope you are all well during these difficult times.

Due to the ongoing Covid19 pandemic, and the uncertainty surrounding the near future we have decided to postpone the Genomics in Aquaculture Symposium in Granada until 2022. We will announce the exact dates as soon as the Covid19 pandemic is under control. There will be sufficient time given to prepare and submit new abstracts.

In the meantime, and since we think the abstracts we received are really exciting but will likely be outdated by 2022, we have decided to hold an online event the proposed dates: 5-7 May 2021. Our intention is to give everyone who sent an abstract for GIA2020 the opportunity of presenting their work. This will be completely free for those who are still registered. We will charge a small fee (~€30) to those that are not registered anymore but still want to present their work during the online event. More details will follow shortly.

If you have already paid the registration and hotel accommodation through the GIA webpage, these will be valid for GIA2022 in Granada and GIA2021 online, and no further action is required from you. The system will open again for anyone who wants to register. We will be flexible with the registrations, allowing assigning them to a different person.

An official cancellation letter can be downloaded from the GIA2020 website, for anything else please contact the secretariat (congresosgranada@viajeseci.es).

We look forward to seeing you all in May and welcoming you all in Granada in 2022.

Best wishes,

The GIA2020 Organising Committee
